Where is better/more fun to go Austalia or Thailand (for 5 weeks)?

I would highly recommend Thailand over Australia. It is more exotic, the food is awesome, and it will be cheaper. There is no lack of places to relax and chill out and no lack of partying. You have to use your head a bit in Thailand too though. If you go out and take part in the party lifestyle at night you do run the risk of winding up drugged, robbed, d or worse. Anyway, I've been going to Thailand for years and I've never met a single person in my life who did not enjoy their trip to Thailand.
