Is there significance in nature?

If one does not believe in a higher power, then what makes nature so magnificent? If everything occurs naturally and on accident, then why do humans feel such emotion when gazing at beauty? Btw, I ask this only to provoke thought. Not because I am a Christian. I recently asked a very innocent question about information in a book and was bombarded by ***holes looking for a fight.
