Power outage...had to get out the restore CD?

I've got a Dell Dimension 8200, and the power went out overnite. Ever since the power outtage, I've been very unsuccessful in getting my computer up to speed. For instance, while running any application that requires java (club pogo.com), it takes forever before I am unable to play. I have defragged, and ran the disk cleanup. I've even used Yahoo! anti-spy, and I also ran Lava Soft's Adware. I then ran a virus check, all with no results. I have checked my internet connection speed using speakeasy.net and the problem isn't my ISP. It's definitely on my end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
