What's the drama between lauren conrad and kristin cavallari from laguna beach?

i just watched the finale of the hills because i had nothing else to do.. anyway, there was some tension between lauren and kristin. i googled it and found out they dated the same guy in season 1, but is that all the drama there is or am i missing something?
